NANOSURGEON

§ 00 / Support

Support

One developer reads everything that comes in. Bugs get a reply; so do the reports that turn out not to be bugs.

Report a problem

Open an issue at github.com/ciderstudios/nanosurgeon-site/issues. A GitHub account is free and no purchase details are needed.

§ 01 — Before you write

Three lines that make a bug fixable

A screen recording is worth all three. Crashes are the one case where a report with none of this is still useful — send it anyway.

§ 02 — Common questions

Answered before you ask

Lost progress
Progress lives only on the device, so it does not survive deleting the app or moving to a new phone. There is no cloud save in 1.0. Adding one is on the roadmap; it is the most requested change.
The heart blocks me
The heart cannot be crossed while it is beating. You have to stop it, cross, and defibrillate — which costs one defibrillator and starts a timer. This is the intended mechanic, not a bug.
Instant game over
Administering a medication the patient is allergic to causes anaphylaxis and ends the case immediately. Check the patient chart first. The chart is in the radial menu, under Patient File.
Refunds
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. The publisher cannot issue App Store refunds.
Privacy
The game collects nothing. See the privacy policy for the detail.

§ 03 — Medical content

It is a game, not advice

Nano Surgeon uses real pathogen names, real medications and real physiology because that is what makes the puzzle interesting. It simplifies all of them heavily, and it is written for entertainment. Nothing in the game is medical advice. If something in it contradicts a clinician, the clinician is right.

That said, factual errors are bugs and we want to hear about them. Reports that cite a source get fixed fastest.

§ 04 — Publisher

Who you are writing to

Nano Surgeon is published by Cider Studios. Licensing and attribution questions about the fonts and the engine bundled with the game are answered in the game's Credits screen and in the project's third-party notices.
